- Warming conditions through most of the week
- Low to medium rain chances Tuesday and Wednesday

.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 1132 PM CST Sun Feb 1 2026
With onshore flow returning to the region, expect things to continue
to warm through the early portions of the week. Highs will return to
the 60s and 70s today with 80s expected out west by Tuesday. There
is a chance that we could see some coastal/marine fog to develop as
moisture pools back into the region Monday night into Tuesday.
Dewpoints are progged to increase into the upper 50s and lower 60s,
the caveat being the water temperatures. We will have to monitor
water temperatures around from now to then to see if they will
increase above those temps. We will see a weaker cold front swing
through the region Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. This will
bring low to medium rain chances in the mainly the Victoria
Crossroads. Guidance has continued to back off on the rain chances
in the region and continue to shift further east. Therefore, it will
be worth monitoring the trend. Highs and lows don`t come down too
much from in the wake of the front. Highs will be in the 60s before
returning to the 70s and 80s heading into the weekend. Lows will be
in the 40s and 50s generally.

.AVIATION...
(06Z TAFS)
Issued at 1132 PM CST Sun Feb 1 2026
VFR conditions will prevail for a few hours before fog and lower
ceilings have a medium chance of developing tonight across the
region. Periods of MVFR to LIFR conditions will be possible tonight
09-14Z, greatest chances for impacts over the Brush Country and
northern Victoria Crossroads (VCT). Fog impacts are most likely over
VCT and ALI, with MVFR ceilings over other sites. We`re already
seeing mist over VCT and MIFG over CRP but less confident on
persistent impacts at CRP. Light variable winds through midmorning
across all sites will strengthen out of the southeast midday,
improving conditions to VFR across all terminals. Southeasterly
winds become sustained around 15 knots with gusts around 25 knots
through the afternoon before weakening near the end of the forecast.
&&
.MARINE...
Issued at 1132 PM CST Sun Feb 1 2026
A gentle onshore breeze (BF 3) is expected to increase today to
moderate to strong breeze (BF 4-6) through Tuesday with Small Craft
Advisory conditions likely. Conditions will subside briefly to a
more gentle to moderate breeze Tuesday night. Another cold front
moves through Tuesday night into Wednesday morning increasing winds
once again. This will likely lead to Small Craft Advisory conditions
once again. There is a low to medium chance for showers Tuesday and
Wednesday.
&&
.FIRE WEATHER...
Issued at 1132 PM CST Sun Feb 1 2026
RH will continue to increase today with onshore flow continuing to
pump moisture back into the region. ERC values remain generally low,
and the potential for critical fire conditions is low. There is a
low to medium chance for showers toward the middle of next week
mainly in the northern Coastal Bend as a cold front swings through
the area. Relative humidity values will fall behind the front to low
levels (<30%) again around but winds will remain generally at light
levels. ERCs will increase around the 50-89th percentile in the
Brush Country to portions of the Coastal Plains which may warrant at
least a Fire Danger Statement. Will continue to monitor how this
unfolds through the week.
