By 10:00 a.m. NDT today departing trough located over Labrador Sea.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT today quasi-stationary high 1030 mb located
southeast of the Grand Banks.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT today trough located over New England.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Thursday trough located on a line north-south
over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.


Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:57 AM NDT 6 May 2026 A trough of low pressure over the Labrador Sea will depart to the
north today, while an area of high pressure southeast of the Grand
Banks remains nearly stationary throughout the forecast period.
Between these two features, strong to gale force southwesterlies will
diminish early this morning as the trough moves away.

A second trough will approach the district from the west on Thursday.
Strong to gale force southerlies will develop over western waters on
Thursday ahead of the trough.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Northeast Gulf and Gulf - Port au Port.
