northeast-southwest over Bowie.

At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight trough located west of Vancouver Island.
By 4:00 a.m. PDT Wednesday weakening trough located over Vancouver
Island.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:21 PM PDT 5 May 2026 A ridge of high pressure will remain nearly stationary over Bowie
through the next two days. Ahead of the ridge, strong to marginal
gale force northwesterly winds over northern and central waters will
spread to west coast Vancouver Island tonight and persist through
Wednesday.

A trough off Vancouver Island has resulted in wide spread marine
cloud with fog banks and periods of drizzle to the region. Strong to
gale force westerly winds through Juan de Fuca and Johnstone straits
will follow a diurnal trend of easing early in the morning and
strengthening late in the afternoon.
