Looking at another warm day with records likely once again.
Highs today should be in the low to mid 70s across the Snake
Plain into the eastern Magic Valley with 60s for the mountains
and highlands. Expect windy conditions as well with the NBM
advertising wind gusts up to 50 mph extending from Challis and
Salmon into the upper Snake Plain this afternoon. A wind
advisory remains out for that area. A cold front should arrive
by Thursday morning and our highs will cool back down into the
50s. The cold front should move through mostly dry, perhaps a
few sprinkles across northern Custer and around Island Park. It
looks breezy behind the front with strongest gusts of 40 to 45
mph likely across the Magic Valley, likely sitting just below
advisory levels. The ridge reestablishes itself for Friday into
the weekend with 60s for highs on Friday and 70s for Saturday
and Sunday.

Main issue today is wind gusts with gusts to 35 kts likely at
IDA this afternoon. Winds look a touch lighter down the valley
with 30 kts likely at PIH and 20 kts at BYI. SUN will likely
switch from downvalley to a crosswind by late morning. For an
hour or two, SUN could turn variable but most of the afternoon
looks like it will set up as a gusty crosswind.
