 - Dry conditions and near-normal temperatures through much of
   this week.

 - Hazardous fire weather conditions will be possible across parts
   of the area early to middle of the week due to low humidity.

 - Temperatures warm back up to well above normal late week into
   next weekend.

.SHORT TERM...
(Today through Tuesday)

Starting off the week with cooler and dry conditions as high
pressure builds over the area in the wake of yesterday`s cold
front. Temperatures this morning will range from the mid 40s to
mid 50s, and will climb to the upper 60s to low 70s by this
afternoon under partly cloudy skies. Tonight, winds will lighten
and skies will become mostly clear, allowing low temperatures to
fall to the mid to upper 40s across most of the area. Strong high
pressure will start to build off to our north on Tuesday, turning
winds easterly and making them occasionally gusty. Temperatures
will climb to the low to mid 70s by the afternoon under sunny
skies. These conditions are pretty tough to beat for this time of
year, especially with low humidity, so hopefully you can get out
and enjoy it!

.LONG TERM...
(Tuesday night through Sunday)

The subtropical and polar jets will split the southeast through
the start of the weekend. With the polar jet in a broad ridging
pattern, the surface high will be position such that the region
remains in E to SE flow through Thursday. As the subtropical jet
surges and builds ridging across the southeast as well, the sfc
high will expand across the state and over to the gulf coast.
Weakening east flow and increasing sinking air will bring
temperatures up to above normal for the weekend. Highs by Saturday
will see a return to near 80 degrees for all but the higher
elevations of north Georgia.

The only real chance at precip will be across the far southern
CWA as the subtropical jet surges on Thursday. Sinking air quickly
moves in as the ridges come partly into phase which means even
these Thursday PoPs remain at or below 20%. Conditions expected to
remain dry everywhere else.

VFR conditions will continue at all sites through the TAF period. At
ATL, winds starting out NW at 7-10 kts, but will turn N during
the day, likely varying between NNE and NNW. Tonight into Tuesday,
winds turn out of the NE to E across the area.
