.KEY MESSAGES...

- Hot weather through the entire week ahead. First Heat Advisory
  of the season issued for the I-25 Corridor.

- Only hints of monsoonal moisture reaching the high country by
  late in the week or next weekend.

- Prolonged hot and dry conditions will bring fire weather
  concerns, although we`ll likely stay just shy of Red Flag
  criteria most days.

An upper level high will continue from the central US into the
central Rockies thru Thu.  There will still be just enough mid level
moisture, over the higher terrain, for isold to widely sct higher
based tstms this aftn.  Most of this activity will be along and
south of I-70 in the mtns and over South Park.  Elsewhere it will
remain dry and hot.

For Tue thru Thu, any monsoon moisture looks like it will stay over
wrn CO into the Great Basin.  Thus any tstm activity over the higher
terrain looks to be rather isold with dry conditions over the
plains.  Temperatures will remain hot with 90`s continuing over the
plains.

By Fri thru next weekend, the center of the upper level high will be
over the central Rockies.  Overall, it still appears the best fetch
of monsoon moisture will generally stay to the west of the area with
only a slight chc of tstms over the higher terrain.  Temperatures
will remain above normal.

Eventually, the upper level high may shift a bit further south by
the following week which may allow for a better influx of monsoon
moisture and increasing tstm chances.

VFR conditions thru the period. Gusty south winds will decrease by
09z but remain southerly thru mid morning on Mon. By 17z winds
will become more SE with gusts up to 30 mph at APA and DIA after
21z. Winds at BJC will be light and variable by 10z and then
become easterly by 19z on Mon.
