.KEY MESSAGES...

* Periods of breezy north winds will continue as temperatures rise
  to above-normal levels over the weekend and into early next week.

.DISCUSSION...Today through Wednesday.

Breezy northerly winds will continue down the Colorado River Valley
through this afternoon as a shortwave pushes eastward into central
Arizona. These winds will produce wave heights between 1.5 and 3
feet on Lake Mohave and Lake Havasu today, and caution should be
exercised if recreating on those lakes. Otherwise, a building high
pressure ridge over the eastern Pacific will allow temperatures to
gradually increase this weekend and early next week, with forecast
highs climbing to between 10 and 12 degrees above seasonal normals
by Wednesday.  No precipitation is forecast across our area through
the middle of next week.

.AVIATION...For Harry Reid...For the 06Z Forecast Package...Light,
mainly southwest winds overnight will prevail. Light and variable
winds develop in the early Friday morning hours then turn more
southeasterly after 22z. Speeds remain less than 8 knots throughout
the TAF period. VFR conditions with occasional high clouds at or
above 20kft AGL.

For the rest of southern Nevada, northwest Arizona and southeast
California...For the 06Z Forecast Package...Breezy northerly winds
will weaken overnight in the Colorado River Valley, increasing again
tomorrow morning. Gusts of around 20 knots are possible at KIFP.
Winds should remain less than 10 knots across the rest of the area.
VFR conditions prevail with occasional high clouds at or above 20kft
AGL.
