...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 PM THIS EVENING
TO 9 AM EST TUESDAY...
* WHAT...For the Frost Advisory, temperatures as low as 34 will
result in frost formation. For the Cold Weather Advisory, very
cold wind chills as low as 30 expected.
* WHERE...Far South Miami-Dade County, Inland Miami-Dade County, and
Mainland Monroe Counties.
* WHEN...From 11 PM this evening to 9 AM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with
prolonged exposure. Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation.
Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
Keep pets indoors as much as possible.
Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and
unfrozen water.
Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.
