Blowing snow advisory in effect

Lake Winnipeg - north basin

Issued 04:17 AM CST 19 December 2025 Poor visibility in snow and blowing snow is expected in some locations.

Another Alberta Clipper will give snow, blowing snow and gusty winds to parts of western and southern Manitoba today.

What: Reduced visibilities in blowing snow.

Timing: Most of today.

Total snowfall: 5 to 12 cm, with higher amounts over the Parklands region.

Wind gusts: southerly gusts as high as 70 km/h this afternoon; northwesterly gusts to 60 km/h tonight.

Travel will likely be hazardous due to near-zero visibility. Road closures are possible. Blowing snow advisories are issued when widespread poor visibility in blowing snow is expected.
