Wind becoming west 25 to 35 this afternoon then diminishing to southwest 15 to 25 early this evening. Wind increasing to southeast 25 to 35 near noon Tuesday except southeast 40 near the headlands. Wind diminishing to southwest 10 to 20 Tuesday evening.

Issued 4:00 AM PST 22 December 2025 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 4:00 a.m. PST today quasi-stationary ridge located over northern
BC interior.

At 4:00 a.m. PST today low located over northern Bowie.
By 7:00 p.m. PST tonight low located over southern Bowie.

At 7:00 a.m. PST today low located over southwestern Explorer.
By 4:00 p.m. PST today low located over eastern Queen Charlotte
Sound.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:46 AM PST 22 December 2025 An Arctic ridge over the BC Interior is producing gale to storm force
outflow winds through the North Coast inlets. The winds are expected
to persist through this evening.

A weak low pressure centre over Bowie is giving gale force
northeasterly winds over the northern sections of Bowie. These winds
will weaken to moderate to strong northerly this evening.

A second low will cross Explorer this morning and move to lie over
Queen Charlotte Sound in the afternoon. Gale force southeast winds
will develop over southern waters ahead of the low then shift to
strong to gale force westerlies in its wake.
