Wind southeast 35 knots increasing to south 45 to 55 early this morning and to northwest 60 to 70 this evening except southwest 35 to 45 over southeastern sections. Wind becoming northwest 50 to 60 late overnight then diminishing to west 45 Sunday morning. Wind diminishing to west 25 to 35 Sunday afternoon then becoming west 25 Sunday evening.

Snow or rain early this morning changing to rain and fog patches and ending this evening. Flurries tonight and Sunday. Visibility 1 mile or less in fog patches and in flurries.

Freezing spray warning in effect.

Freezing spray over western sections tonight and Sunday.

Temperatures plus 6 falling to minus 8 to minus 2 Sunday morning.

Issued 4:00 AM NST 20 December 2025 Today Tonight and Sunday At 4:00 a.m. NST today departing ridge located east of Labrador Sea.

At 4:00 a.m. NST today deepening low 966 mb located over western
Labrador.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Sunday low 948 mb located over the East Labrador
Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:52 AM NST 20 December 2025 An intensifying low pressure system over Western Labrador will track
over the Labrador Sea today. Gale to storm force northeasterlies to
southeasterlies will develop to the north of its track with gale to
storm force southerlies developing to the south of its track.
Storm to hurricane force north to northwesterlies will follow in the
wake of the low.

Marine interests are advised that hurricane force wind warnings are
in effect for North Labrador Coast, South Labrador Sea, and Northwest
Labrador Sea. Storm warnings are in effect for all remaining waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except East Labrador Sea.
