Issued 10:00 AM NST 18 December 2025 Today Tonight and Friday At 10:00 a.m. NST today trough located east of Newfoundland.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Friday trough located east of the Marine District.

At 8:00 p.m. NST Friday approaching trough located over Maine.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line north-south
over Maine.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Friday ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Belle Isle Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:03 AM NST 18 December 2025 A trough of low pressure currently east of Newfoundland will continue
tracking east today. Strong to gale force southwesterlies ahead of
the trough will shift to strong to gale force northwesterlies in its
wake today. Winds are expected to diminish tonight as the trough
departs.

A second trough of low pressure will approach from the west on
Friday. Strong to gale force southwesterlies are expected to spread
across the marine district on Friday ahead of the trough.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, Belle
Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
