of St. Lawrence.
By 4:00 a.m. NDT Saturday low 961 mb located over the East
Labrador Sea.
At 4:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the South Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 a.m. NDT today dissipating ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Labrador Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:54 AM NDT 27 March 2026 A low pressure system over the Gulf of St. Lawrence will deepen as it
tracks northeastward to lie over the East Labrador Sea by early
Saturday morning. Strong to gale force northeasterlies will develop
ahead of the low this afternoon and shift to gale to storm force
northwesterlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
South Labrador Coast, Mid Labrador Coast - Hopedale and south.
And the Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters except Lake Melville.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
