Issued 10:00 AM AST 18 December 2025 Today Tonight and Friday At 10:00 a.m. AST today departing trough located over the Grand
Banks.

At 10:00 a.m. AST Friday intensifying trough located over New
England.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Friday trough located over the western Marine
District.

At 10:00 a.m. AST today high located over the Gulf of Maine.
By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight departing high located over Laurentian Fan.


Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:34 AM AST 18 December 2025 A trough of low pressure over the Grand Banks will continue to move
away from the district today. Strong to gale force northwesterlies
are still occurring in its wake over eastern waters.

A trough of low pressure will approach the Maritimes from the west on
Friday and deepen as it moves to lie over the western marine district
Friday evening. Winds will strengthen to gale to storm force
southerlies ahead of the trough.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Grand Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank, southwestern shore,
LaHave Bank, West Scotian Slope, eastern shore, Sable, East Scotian
Slope, Gulf-Magdalen and Anticosti - southeastern half. Gale warnings
are in effect for all remaining waters.

Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning is in
effect for Anticosti - northwestern half.
