Blizzard conditions with gusty winds and visibility frequently near zero in snow and blowing snow are expected.
Locations: Portions of southern Manitoba.
Total snowfall: 10 to 20 cm, with locally higher amounts possible.
Maximum wind gusts: northerly 70 to 90 km/h.
Timing: Ending later today.
Remarks: A strong Alberta Clipper is bringing heavy snow and strong, gusty winds leading to blizzard conditions over portions of southern Manitoba.
Travel will be dangerous and likely impossible due to near-zero visibility. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic. Avoid travel and outdoor activities, if possible. Blizzard warnings are issued when near-zero visibility in blowing snow is expected.
