By 3:00 a.m. AST Sunday departing ridge located over the eastern
Marine District.

At 10:00 a.m. AST Sunday low 1001 mb located over southern Quebec.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Sunday departing low 1002 mb located over the
eastern Gulf of St. Lawrence.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:42 AM AST 20 December 2025 As a trough of low pressure continues to track east of the marine
district this morning, gale force westerlies continue in its wake
with storm force westerlies for northern regions. Winds will diminish
later today as a ridge of high pressure builds in from the west.

Another trough moves in from the west on Sunday and strong to gale
force southwesterlies are expected ahead of this trough.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Anticosti. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters.

Freezing spray warnings are in effect for Gulf-Magdalen,
Chaleur-Miscou and Anticosti.
