over southern Quebec.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Thursday trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over the East Coast of Newfoundland.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line north-south over
the Northeast Coast of Newfoundland.
By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight departing ridge located east of the
Marine District.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today departing low 945 mb located southeast
of Greenland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:57 AM NST 17 December 2025 A trough of low pressure currently over Quebec will cross the marine
district on Thursday. Strong to gale force southwesterlies will
spread across the marine district ahead of the trough today before
shifting to strong to gale force northwesterlies in its wake on
Thursday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, Belle
Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
