* WHAT...Hot daytime conditions with high temperatures between 95 and
105 common, except localized 105 to 110 in the hottest locations.
Warm overnight conditions will bring less relief than usual.

* WHERE...Most valleys and mountains of Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa
Barbara, and San Luis Obispo Counties.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM PDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...There is a high risk for dangerous heat illness,
especially for sensitive groups like the very young, the very old,
those without air conditioning, and those active outdoors.

Information:
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young
children and pets in unattended vehicles. Limit strenuous activities
to early morning or evening hours. Take action when you see symptoms
of heat exhaustion.

* WHERE...Los Angeles County Beaches, Ventura County Coast, Santa
Barbara County South Coast, Santa Lucia Mountains, Santa Ynez
Valley, and the Northern Ventura County Mountains.

Areas Affected: San Luis Obispo County Beaches - Santa Barbara County Central Coast Beaches
 
Alert Details:
* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents and elevated surf. Moderate to
strong rip currents are likely along some beaches, especially
exposed south to southwest facing beaches.

* WHERE...San Luis Obispo County Beaches and Santa Barbara County
Central Coast Beaches.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM PDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...There is an increased risk of ocean drowning. Rip
currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Waves can
wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats
nearshore.

Information:
Remain out of the water due to hazardous swimming conditions, or
stay near occupied lifeguard towers. Rock jetties can be deadly
in such conditions, stay off the rocks.
